Abstract - Scholarly Project

The Organising Committee would like to invite all RANZCP registrars working on their Scholarly Project and/or Registrar Research to submit an abstract of their original work, to be considered for oral or poster presentation.


Scholarly project presentation information

Please take note of the closing deadline for submitting your abstract. Abstracts submitted beyond the closing deadline (for whatever reason) will not be accepted.

  • Oral talks will be 10 minutes long: 8 minutes presentation and 2 minutes Q&A.
  • Scholarly projects in progress will be considered for presentation.
  • Please select "Scholarly Project" in the drop down theme box when you are submitting your abstract online.
  • All other applicable terms and conditions apply as per standard oral and poster presentations.

Abstract submission instructions

Download the abstract submission template and write your abstract(s).

Save as separate .doc or .docx file, in an easily accessible location on your computer.

You will be required to enter abstract title, presentation type (oral or poster), authors and their affiliations, prize application, a short biography of the presenting author and any specific audio-visual requirements for each paper before uploading the abstract document.

Ensure that you have read and understood the terms and conditions associated with an abstract submission.

Please have this information ready before accessing the portal.

Open the presentation portal, register with your email address, submit a password and follow the instructions.

You are able to upload multiple submissions via the one log-in.

You may access the presentation portal using your email address and password to view your submitted abstracts or upload further abstracts until submissions close on 13 June 2025.

11 April: Abstract submission closes (workshop)
24 April: Abstract submission (workshop) decline/acceptance
9 May: Earlybird registration opens
13 June: Abstract submission closes (free papers, symposium)
1 July: Abstract submission (free papers, symposium) decline/acceptance 
3 August: Standard registration opens
8-10 September: RANZCP 2025 New Zealand Conference
