12-14 October 2026 | Peowhairangi Bay of Islands
On behalf of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP) NZ National Committee, Tū Te Akaaka Roa we are pleased to announce that the 2026 New Zealand Conference will be heading to the scenic Peowhairangi Bay of Islands from 12-14 October.
The conference will be hosted at the Copthorne Hotel and Resort, near Paihia, a waterfront location nestled amongst beautiful green and lush grounds, within the Waitangi National Trust Reserve, offering spectacular harbour and ocean views.
Scientific sessions will run from Monday - Wednesday and include local and international experts in the field of psychiatry, along with free paper and poster presentations, symposia and ample time for panel discussion and Q&A.
Socialise and network with your colleagues and peers during the welcome reception and enjoy our conference dinner at the spectacular Treaty Grounds, showcasing local produce, whilst taking in the rich cultural stories and mild climate of the Far North.
We hope that you will stay pre and post the conference, to enjoy the many activities on offer, (take in a fascinating boat trip to the Hole in the Rock and stop off on picturesque Urupukapuka Island) and visit local places of interest (catch the ferry to Russell from Paihia and enjoy the walks, restaurants and memories of this historic location).
Save the date for 12-14 October 2026 - we look forward to catching up with you in the Peowhairangi Bay of Islands!
